This website sets no cookies

This website (botseon.com, the pages you are reading now) sets no cookies. Not a necessary one, not an analytics one, not a third-party one. That is true by construction rather than by policy: nothing in this website's code writes a cookie, and an automated test loads every page at three screen sizes in both colour schemes and fails the build if a single cookie appears.

Because there are no cookies and no trackers, there is no consent banner. There is nothing to consent to.

What this website stores in your browser

Nothing.

The site has no theme control of its own: it follows your device's light or dark setting. Its one script does exactly one thing with browser storage: it deletes a key that an earlier version of this site used to remember a theme choice, so that anyone who set one goes back to following their device. It writes nothing.

What this website loads

The pages load their own fonts, images and one script, all from botseon.com itself. There is no analytics service, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no embedded video player and no social widget. Nothing on these pages reports your visit to another company.

Our host records the request that served you the page: your IP address, the page, your browser's user-agent string and the time. That is a server log, not a cookie, and it is covered by the Privacy policy.

The app is a different thing

The Botseon app, the product you sign into, on a different address from this website, sets one cookie, bsn_session, after you sign in. It is strictly necessary: it is what keeps you signed in, it holds a reference to your session and nothing else, and it lasts 30 days or until you sign out. It is not set by this website, it is not readable from this website, and it needs no consent because the service cannot work without it.

The app sets no analytics or advertising cookies.

Changes to this statement

If this website ever needs a cookie, this page will say what it is and why before it is set, and, where the law requires it, you will be asked first. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
