Submit a connector to the marketplace
Member·3 minutes to read
What this does for you
If your team runs a remote MCP server, you can submit it to the public marketplace. After Botseon reviews and approves it, anyone can find it under Connectors, on its own page that names your team as the publisher, and add it in a few clicks.
Before you start
- The server must be a remote MCP server with an
httpsaddress. A server that runs in a computer cannot be listed. - Have links ready to its documentation, its privacy policy and a support page. Each one must be
https. - In a team, an administrator may have turned submissions off. The page then tells you so, and the form is not shown. A personal account can always submit.
Steps
- Open the Connector submissions page (
/settings/connector-submissions) from Submit your connector, which appears in the marketplace's Connectors shelf and under MCP servers in Plugins. The Settings menu has no entry for it, so you can also type the address. - Fill in the connector's name, what it does, the publisher (the team or company the listing will name), the server's address, and the three links.
- Press Submit for review. Botseon checks the address first. It must be
https, with no query and no credentials, and a public host name. Botseon then asks the server for its tool list. If the server asks its users to sign in, the submission is accepted and marked Needs sign-in. The listing then shows the tools only once someone signs in. - The submission appears in your organisation's list as In review. It is not in the marketplace yet.
- Once Botseon has reviewed it, the row shows Listed with a View listing link, or Not approved with the reviewer's note.
- If it was not approved, press Correct and send again, fix what the note asks for, and press Send for review again. It goes back to review.
- To take a listing down, press Withdraw. It leaves the marketplace at once. Anyone who already added the server keeps their own copy of it.
A worked example
Your team runs a ticketing tool at https://mcp.tickets.example.com/mcp. You submit it as "Tickets", published by "Tickets Ltd". Botseon reads two tools, list_tickets and file_ticket, and the row reads In review. Two days later it reads Listed. Its page at /marketplace/connectors/tickets shows both tools and your three links. A visitor who presses Add to Botseon lands on the add-server form with the name and address filled in. There they approve the tool list before any of their bots can use it.
What can go wrong
- "Botseon could not read a tool list from that address." The address did not answer as an MCP server. Check the path (often
/mcp), and check that the server answers without a VPN. - "A connector of that name is already listed or in review." Each listing has its own name and address. Choose another name, or withdraw the earlier submission first.
- "An administrator has turned connector submissions off for this organisation." Ask an administrator. The switch is on this same page.
- Only the submitter or an administrator can change a submission. Other members see it, but not its Withdraw or Correct buttons.
