Make a bot, and set it up

What this does for you

This page covers the settings pane every bot has: its name, avatar, voice, and visibility, plus how you duplicate, share, organize, or delete it.

Before you start

• You already have a bot, created from the sidebar's + button or from the first-bot creator.
• To choose who can see a bot, your organisation is a team organisation — a personal organisation has no one to share with.

Steps

1. Open a bot's settings pane. 2. Set its name, label, and description. The label is optional (placeholder Research, marketing, admin); the description is what the bot's siblings and the group router read to decide who takes a job. 3. Edit its avatar. Click the avatar to open its editor: pick one of eight shapes and eleven colours, describe one for the bot to generate, or upload an image up to 5 MB. 6. In a team organisation, choose who can see this bot — only you, or your whole team. 8. Organize it in the sidebar. 9. Duplicate it when you want a second copy. The copy keeps the profile, settings, avatar, skills, and routines — routines start paused. 10. Share it as a template from Share as template, at the foot of the settings pane. 11. Delete it when you no longer need it. Deleting revokes every memory grant it holds and soft-deletes its private memory; it does not yet remove any identity profile, since that needs a computer this platform does not yet give bots. A worked example

A description that tells the bot, and its siblings, what it is for:

Handles inbound support tickets tagged "billing." Drafts a reply for a teammate to review and send; never sends on its own.
