This page is keyed by the words on your screen. Find the sentence you are looking at, read why it happened, and follow the link to the page that fixes it.

How to use this page

The first cell of every row is copied from the product's own string catalogue, word for word. Search this page for the sentence in front of you rather than for what you think it means — two messages that sound alike have different causes and different fixes.

Three things are worth knowing before you read a row:

Many of these messages end in "Try again". That is the product saying the step was refused or failed, so repeating it is the first thing to do.
A message that names an administrator is a permission, not a fault. Whoever administers your organisation can change it; you cannot.
A request id names one run. It is the run's id and the position of the step inside it, which is what support needs. When a row tells you to report something, take the request id with you — Ask for help says where to find it and what else to send.

Signing in

What you see	Why	What to do

`That sign-in did not complete. Try again.`	The sign-in flow lost its state before it finished.	Start the sign-in again from the beginning — Sign in.
`Sign-in was cancelled. Try again.`	You closed the provider's window, or the provider denied the request.	Choose a sign-in option again — Sign in.
`We could not sign you in that way. Try another option.`	The provider answered, but not with an identity this deployment accepts.	Use one of the other sign-in options — Sign in.

`You are not a member of that organisation.`	Your account is not on that organisation's member list.	Ask for an invitation — Members and access.
`That organisation does not accept requests from your address.`	The organisation admits only addresses in its own domains.	Ask an administrator to invite you directly — Members and access.
`You are already a member of that organisation.`	You asked to join something you are already in.	Sign in and continue — Start here.
`Your request is already waiting for an administrator.`	Your earlier request has not been decided yet.	Wait, or remind them — Members and access.
`That request could not be found. Reload the page and try again.`	The request was decided or withdrawn while your page was open.	Reload and look again — Members and access.

One sign-in refusal has no fixed sentence to search for: when the domain you typed in a join request is not a domain name, the message repeats what you typed and then says it is not a domain name. Correct the domain and ask again — Members and access.

The app itself

`Could not copy. Try again.`	The browser refused clipboard access.	Select the text and copy it by hand — The transcript.

Status words on cards and lists

What you see	Why	What to do
`Error`	A card or a status column is reporting a failed step.	Open the item and read the failure under it — The transcript.
`Blocked`	Something is waiting on a decision, or a policy forbids it.	Find what is waiting — Approval cards.
`Unavailable`	The feature is not configured on this deployment.	Ask your administrator what the deployment allows — Policies.
`Blocked — waiting for you`	A run stopped and is waiting for your approval.	Answer the approval card — Approval cards.
`Ended on an error`	A call ended because a step failed rather than because someone hung up.	Open the call record — Voice.

Messages, attachments and dictation

Bots, groups and shared bots

Approvals, memory and teaching
