What this does for you

The account menu and the Settings sheet are where you find your sign-in details, your appearance and default behaviour, and the switch that deletes your account.

Before you start

  • You're signed in.
  • Organisation-wide policy, such as who can join or what plugins are allowed, belongs to an administrator, not to this page.
  • Your plan and your weekly allowance live on the same sheet's Usage & Billing tab — see Plans and the trial and Usage, the meter and spend caps.

Steps

  1. Click your account row at the bottom of the sidebar to open the account menu. It shows your weekly usage percentage with a submenu, a link to get Botseon for iOS, Settings, About, Help Center, Send Feedback, and Log out. <!-- shot: settings-general-01-phone.png | The account menu, on a phone --> <!-- shot: settings-general-01-desktop.png | The account menu, on a desktop -->
  2. Choose Settings to open the sheet on the General tab — one of four tabs, alongside Computer, Usage & Billing and Updates. The Account block shows your avatar, your display name, and your sign-in email with a control that copies it — this block is read-only; a second Sign Out button sits beside it. <!-- shot: settings-general-02-phone.png | Settings, General tab, on a phone --> <!-- shot: settings-general-02-desktop.png | Settings, General tab, on a desktop -->
  3. If you belong to a team organisation, the Organisation section names it, shows your role, and offers a switcher and a Create Team control. <!-- shot: settings-general-03-phone.png | The Organisation section, on a phone --> <!-- shot: settings-general-03-desktop.png | The Organisation section, on a desktop -->
  4. Under Appearance, set Theme to Follow System, Light or Dark. Language stays on Follow System; English is the only shipped language for now. <!-- shot: settings-general-04-phone.png | Appearance, on a phone --> <!-- shot: settings-general-04-desktop.png | Appearance, on a desktop -->
  5. Under System, the microphone row shows your system default, and Use hardware acceleration is a switch you can turn off — it only applies in the desktop app, and changing it asks you to restart. <!-- shot: settings-general-05-phone.png | The System section, on a phone --> <!-- shot: settings-general-05-desktop.png | The System section, on a desktop -->
  6. Under Bot, set your default model tier, your writing style, and your timezone (Botseon auto-detects it and shows the resolved zone), and turn Auto-review on or off — this controls whether Botseon asks you first before an action, for you alone. <!-- shot: settings-general-06-phone.png | The Bot section, on a phone --> <!-- shot: settings-general-06-desktop.png | The Bot section, on a desktop -->
  7. Open the command palette and choose About to see your version, your account id, your organisation id and — inside a conversation — its id, with a button that copies all of it as plain text for support. <!-- shot: settings-general-07-phone.png | The About dialog, on a phone --> <!-- shot: settings-general-07-desktop.png | The About dialog, on a desktop -->
  8. If you need to delete your account, scroll to the danger zone at the foot of General and type your display name to confirm. This deletes your messages, what your bots learned about you, your files, your routines and your computer; the organisation and its other members keep their data. <!-- shot: settings-general-08-phone.png | The danger zone, on a phone --> <!-- shot: settings-general-08-desktop.png | The danger zone, on a desktop -->

A worked example

The Copy version info button on the About dialog copies a plain-text block shaped like this, useful when you write in for support:

Botseon <version>
Build <version>
Platform Web
Account <your account id>
Organisation <your organisation id>
Conversation <conversation id, only when one is open>

That change could not be saved. Try again.A settings write failed, usually a dropped connection.Retry the change; reload the page if it keeps failing.
Restart the app to finish changing hardware acceleration. The desktop app only applies this switch at startup.Restart the desktop app when it's convenient.
The name does not match.Account deletion asks you to type your display name exactly, so you can't delete it by accident.Retype the name exactly as shown, then confirm again.
Could not do that. Try again. The deletion or cancellation request failed to save.Try again; send feedback from the account menu if it persists.
